Features

SLA Status of a single Business Process at a glance

The status of an individual Business Process delivery can easily be identified through the graphical representation in the apsware advisor Workflow Monitoring dashboard. If an Automic Workflow – which may contain Sub-Workflows – has started late or the predicted end time is after the expected end time (SLA violation), color-coded indicators flag the expected or real delay.

Business Process Details and Flowchart

If authorized, the user can also see the status of all jobs which are part of a Business Process and review a color coded graphical flowchart representation of the Business Process delivery. If associated Automic Workflows include Sub-Workflows, apsware advisor provides an integrated and consolidated view of all jobs of all related Workflows and Sub-Workflows in one easy to understand flowchart. Job output information can also be made available to selected users.

Take Actions

Authorized power-users may even take actions, such as restarting an Automic object or cancelling an Automic object. These options are completely secured via the authentication by the Automic user management security and audit settings.

Meaningful Names for Business Processes and Groups of Business Processes

Meaningful names can be given to the Business Processes overlaying technical nomenclature used within the Automic automation engine. This makes it easier for the Self-Service user to understand and monitor the Business Processes. Users can intuitively monitor with business terminology they are familiar with. For a better overview, individual Business Processes can even be grouped together, e.g., by division, department, geography or any other organizational requirements. Users can then decide if they want to display and follow the Business Process delivery status on an individual Business Process level, or on a high-level aggregated group.

Long term history – without negatively impacting Automic

Past Business Service executions can be queried via the apsware advisor browser tab “Workflow History”. If authorized, full job status and flowchart information about the historic Business Process is available for review. Easily satisfying Audit requests.

Since apsware advisor for Automic collects status information in its own SQL Server database (outside of Automic), therefore there is no negative impact on the performance of the Automic automation engine.

SLA Analytics

Business Users can review the status of their most important Business Services and see if business-critical SLAs are met. Via the integrated reporting facility, users can request the generation of SLA Reports, which will be delivered automatically to their email-inbox on a regular basis. Labor intensive reporting can be replaced with easy-to-use, agile and reliable self-service reporting.

Always up to date

With apsware advisor for Automic, Business Users are always up to date. There is no need to be an Automic subject matter expert. The current status of the automated business processes and past process executions are easily accessible. Via your browser or via mobile devices. Even if support and management of Automic is outsourced, your business users retain oversight and high-level visibility.
